The Prepress Quality Assurance Specialist's primary responsibility is to ensure content creation materials meet the quality standards for print production and distribution to consumers. This position will serve as the primary point of contact to all internal and external organizations for fulfillment material orders, requests, communications and production that is required to ensure accurate materials are prepared for printing to meet stringent deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prepress inspections to ensure design proofs meet the stringent QA standards prior to production release
  • Maintain content management documents from various departments for the prepress team
  • Maintains master files containing any samples, communications and final/approved version of materials
  • Review new client materials for specific client and state requirements requested by the Compliance team
  • Track and prioritize print request for end of day completion
  • Document and report on any areas, processes, or procedures that may need improvement to increase efficiency
  • Monitor unusual QA occurrences, report follow-up procedures, and report production issues
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure designs or modifications are executed according to requirements and proofs are properly approved for production
  • Provides guidance and direction to the Print Production & Logistics team to troubleshoot daily print production and communicate any known issues
  • Work closely with Project Management and Client Relations staff to meet stringent deadlines
  • Respond quickly to Client Relations regarding any client material issues
  • Capable of prioritizing work activities and escalating issues in a timely manner
  • Other tasks and duties as needed/assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Highly motivated analytical thinking with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • High degree of organizational skills required: ability to prioritize multiple projects, track and manage critical
    day to day tasks
  • Clear Communicator: ability to communicate within various teams, including leadership and customer
    service representatives
  • Pro-active and detail oriented with a keen sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Customer oriented attitude and a team player, willing to assist others where necessary
  • Ability to adapt quickly to work-environment changes
  • Knowledge using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat Pro)
  • Knowledge of at least one object orientated programming language (VBScript, JavaScript, C#, PHP)

Education & Experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Experience in using content creation applications
  • Basic knowledge of file formats (CSV, TXT, JPEG, TIFF, PDF, PostScript) & variable data print
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
