Director of Network Operations


Careington's Network Development department is responsible for the creation, maintenance and growth of Careington's dental networks. Careington has five core networks and several regional networks, in addition to other network partnerships in the industry. This is a senior management position overseeing dentist credentialing, provider relations and the reporting teams. Each team has a manager that will report up to the Director, and this position reports to the Vice President of Network Operations who oversees the entire Network Development department. This position has growth and career path opportunities.

Careington is looking for a motivated individual who can work autonomously to manage the operations team and oversee day to day activities. Strong management, operational, and analytical skills are welcome.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Network Operations functions, managers and their teams
  • Attend client meetings to assist sales and executive teams
  • Develop processes to ensure efficiency of department
  • Create measurable accountabilities including checkpoints and goals for teams
  • Work with in house legal and compliance on state filings of our dental network
  • Perform and undergo credentialing audits with client partners and dental groups.
  • Work closely with network recruitment Director and team.
  • Participate in committees within the National Association of Dental Plans (NADP)
  • Conduct tours of department
  • Create, develop, implement and manage an annual budget

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Works cohesively in a team
  • Comfortable presenting and communicating with executive leaders and groups
  • Exercise sound independent judgment within established guidelines
  • Ability to prioritize workload appropriately
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict guidelines
  • Development of leaders
  • Ability to see company view

Education, Experience & Software:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Management experience required
  • Travel as necessary for Client visitations and business requirements
  • Experience in the dental or medical administrative and operations field preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
