Business Systems Analyst


We are hiring an IT Business Systems Analyst (BSA) who will work with our client's Application Development group and report to the Director of Software Development. The IT BSA will work as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT stakeholders. Additionally, the IT BSA will be responsible for the following:

  • Gathering business requirements (excellent communication and an inquisitive mind are mandatory)
  • Establish process for requirements gathering and document requirements
  • Meet with business stakeholders for new approved product initiatives
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the technology and business groups
  • Align business needs with IT capabilities on new proposed initiatives
  • Build strong relationships across the IT and business organizations


  • Must be proficient in creating product backlog, writing well defined user stories and breaking down user stories to ensure it is sized correctly
  • Must have 1 – 2 years experience working in an Agile team
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration from accredited institution with emphasis in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • 3-4 years of experience as IT Business Analyst (Medical / Credit / Debit processing industry a big plus)
  • IT Technical skills, coupled with ability to understand business needs so that they can be transformed into application and operational requirement
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server
  • Develop requirements specifications per standard templates
