Dental Service Organization Relations Specialist


Under the supervision of the Director of Network Operations, the DSO Relations Specialist's primary functions are to grow and maintain Careington's clientele.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Main point of contact for all assigned DSOs
  • Utilize the Carelynx Database
  • Enter contracts for new providers and add locations for existing providers
  • Build and send rosters on a monthly/bi-monthly basis (Excel)
  • Submit appropriate location(s), provider(s) and plan cancels
  • Travel to designated areas for client meetings
  • Work with other departments to resolve quality of care issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate information through audits, in accordance with our company and state requirements
  • Negotiate fee schedules and re-negotiations as needed
  • Be the face of Careington for our clients by providing exceptional service in an effort to expand our business
  • Work on projects as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong communications skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to build working business relationships
  • Very detail oriented with the ability to act with urgency and manage time efficiently
  • Keen analytical, project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to take ownership and trouble-shoot an issue, asking probing questions to find the root cause for an issue.
  • Quickly work independently to investigate issues and find resolutions while providing constant communication with both internal and external teams.
  • Moderate domestic travel
  • Team player, actively engaged, understanding the dependencies between teams
  • Intermediate computer knowledge and experience with MS Applications

Education, Experience & Software

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred
  • Minimum 1-year administrative office experience
  • Customer service or call center helpful, in order understand phone etiquette, documentation, and challenging customers
  • Computer skills and extensive experience with MS Applications – Word, Excel, Outlook
